BMSvision: Revolutionizing Textile Manufacturing with Digital Solutions
BMSvision has been a pioneering force in textile manufacturing solutions nearly five decades. Headquartered in Belgium, the company is renowned for its innovative approach to data-driven operational, quality and energy efficiency. In an exclusive interview with The Textile Magazine, CEO Jan Bogaert discusses the company’s evolution, its unique solutions, and its vision for the future of textile manufacturing.
The Evolution of BMSvision
“BMSvision started back in the 1970s under the Barco brand. Next year, we’ll mark 50 years since the launch of our first MES system” shares Jan Bogaert. Over the decades, the company has grown to achieve a significant market share in textile manufacturing, especially in the U.S., Europe, India, Pakistan, and China. Its local presence in key regions allows BMSvision to cater to diverse customer needs effectively.
BMSvision specializes in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) that collects and correlates operational, quality, and energy data to improve efficiency. Mr. Bogaert explains, “It’s not just about collecting data but understanding linkages between operations, quality, and energy systems to provide actionable insights.”
The solutions span the entire manufacturing value chain, from carding, over spinning, manufacturing, inspection, to the finishing processes. “We can connect operators, machines and ERP systems ensuring comprehensive monitoring, reporting, planning and quality assurance” he adds.
