Santoni and Vickers Oils for the environment

SANTONI and Vickers Oils team up for more sustainable performance on the INNOTAS machine. After two years of rigorous testing and trials, SANTONI, Italy’s leading manufacturer of circular knitting machines, officially recommends Vickers Oils SPOTLESS NX 32 needle lubricant for use on its innovative INNOTAS machine, a single knitting machine designed to handle lint.

Using a patented self-cleaning system, fiber buildup, lint and fluff, is removed from the knitting head. The machine does not require scheduled maintenance, thus saving time and avoiding the complications that can result from such operations.

SPOTLESS NX32 is a high quality, easily scourable, self-emulsifiable mineral based needle lubricant. Based on high quality, highly refined mineral oil incorporating an anti-oxidation additive system, the lubricant has excellent stability, resisting oxidation and breakdown of the oil even at prolonged high operating temperatures leaving an excellent lubrication film. SPOTLESS NX has been formulated to be compatible with rubber seals, plastic and electronic components that are present on modern knitting machinery. The INNOTAS self-cleaning system offers a 50% reduction in oil consumption, resulting in no oil lines. By reducing oil consumption, INNOTAS provides a 15% energy saving compared to a standard machine, thus also reducing environmental impact.

In addition to these advantages, SPOTLESS NX 32 offers excellent oil film strength, maintaining high performance and achieving the same level of efficiency even with reduced lubricant consumption. The Vickers Oils Knitting machine lubricant leaves a low amount of oil residue on the finished fabric therefore a shorter washing cycle can be chosen, adding to the energy saving benefits.  SPOTLESS NX 32 has also achieved ZDHC MRSL level 1 certification and meets the criteria clearly defined by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

Sharing similar values of focusing on technological developments and providing high quality solutions, both companies are dedicated to reducing their environmental impact and advancing towards a more sustainable future. We look forward to continuing and strengthening our partnership whilst providing quality solutions to help the textile industry stay ahead of the global shift to a more sustainable world.
