Elevating Sleep Comfort: Suedwolle Group Unveils Innovative Home Textile Fabrics with Lenzing and Culp
Quality sleep is foundational to our overall health and well-being. It impacts our mood, energy levels, cognitive function, and even our physical health.

This month, IWTO Member Suedwolle Group, in partnership with Lenzing and Culp, has unveiled a new line of innovative home textiles fabrics combining the natural benefits of wool and TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres.

The result leverages the unique properties of wool and TENCEL™ Lyocell to enhance sleep comfort and introduce a fresh perspective on textile design.

The design ethos of this project marries modern minimalism with the charm of vintage-inspired patchwork. The resulting pattern showcases angular shapes and a balanced color palette that moves beyond the typical greys and blues often seen in the mattress market. This unique aesthetic complements the inherent softness of TENCEL™ Lyocell, creating a visually appealing and inviting

The combination of wool and TENCEL™ Lyocell offers a range of practical benefits for home textiles. Wool’s natural temperature-regulating properties help maintain a comfortable sleep environment by preventing overheating. Its moisture-wicking and breathable qualities contribute to a dry and comfortable sleep experience.

TENCEL™ Lyocell further enhances the fabric’s performance by adding exceptional softness and effective moisture management. This creates a balanced microclimate that supports healthy skin and reduces the conditions that encourage odor-causing bacteria, resulting in a more hygienic sleep environment.

The collaboration also explored new ways to seamlessly integrate functionality and visual appeal. The yarns used in these innovative fabrics were carefully selected to maximize performance and comfort.

Suedwolle Group’s Oakport Nm 36/1 yarn, a 50/50 blend of Merino wool and TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers, brings its own unique strengths to the textile. This special blend enhances softness, durability, and overall usability for a variety of home textile applications.
